Elise’s Lantern
For parents carrying the loss of a child.
You don’t have to be awake at 3am alone.
Why this exists
Elise’s Lantern is named for a little girl whose favorite colors were pastel purple and pink — like a cloud at sunset. It was built by her dad, for the parents who know this road: the ones awake in the smallest hours, the ones bracing for a birthday, the ones who just need someone who truly understands to sit with them for a while.
It is a quiet place. No feeds, no likes, no ads — and it is free, forever.
What you'll find inside
- Parents who understand. We gently connect you with parents whose road looks like yours — by the kind of loss, your child’s age, how long it’s been, and faith if it matters to you.
- The Lantern. Awake at 3am? Light your lantern. See whose lanterns are lit. Reach out — or simply sit with someone. No reply is ever owed.
- The hard days, held. On birthdays and remembrance days, a gentle morning note — and short letters written for you by other parents here.
- A place to remember them. A story page for your child — their photos, who they were, what they loved — where others can light a candle with you.
- A private companion. A journal, letters to your child, a place to keep the moments of joy that still find you.
We’re in a small early circle right now — the app installs directly (you may need to allow the install when your phone asks). iPhone is coming.
